Engineered Concrete SolutionsENGINEERED CONCRETE SOLUTIONS

In today’s competitive construction environment the need for superior concrete performance has never been greater.

Engineered Concrete Solutions (ECS) are designed to meet the exacting demands of specifying engineers who are seeking a superior outcome for their clients. Modern materials and technology allows the design of concretes that are more durable and longer lasting than their conventional equivalents.

ECS offers a series of different options for various applications commonly managed by specifying engineers.

The use of a concrete mix specifically engineered for a particular environment can dramatically improve the long-term performance of the concrete at a low cost premium. ECS allows the specifying engineer to assess his options and allows the specification of an appropriate concrete mix, which will meet the performance expectations of the engineer and his client.

ECS meet and exceed the requirements of New Zealand Standards.

The selection and supply of performance concrete needs to be complemented with correct workmanship during handling and finishing. Published guides on placing, vibrating, curing, formwork etc are an important component of Engineered Concrete Solutions. Poor placing can seriously compromise concrete quality.

When dealing with challenging applications, or where exceptional performance is required, engineers now have a choice. Conventional concretes are available as before but Engineered Concrete Solutions give engineers the option to specify for superior performance and superior value.

Concrete is often the first material on site and concrete elements are often the hardest working in a finished structure. Engineered Concrete Solutions now offers the opportunity to improve the concrete outcome - during construction and for the life of the structure.

QUALITY CONTROL

Allied Concrete are members of the New Zealand Ready Mixed Concrete Association.

The NZRMCA operates a Plant Audit Scheme, to which all Allied Concrete plants comply.

This scheme aims to provide independent verification that all plants graded under the scheme, produce concrete in compliance with the requirements of NZS 3104.

The Audit Scheme is ISO 9001 which means:

  • The ISO 9001 certification of the Plant Audit Scheme means that the systems and procedures of the Plant Audit Scheme have been audited and found to be satisfactory according to an internationally recognised standard.
  • It means that the Plant Audit Scheme itself has been judged to have effective systems and controls.
  • Customers of audited plants can have confidence that their suppliers' concrete manufacturing processes have been checked by a body with ISO approved systems.
  • Concrete supplied from an audited ready mixed concrete plant is of consistently high quality and meets all local authority requirements.

Allied Concrete Plant Engineers routinely monitor all plants to ensure continuing compliance with all relevant standards.

  • Orders of greater than 100 m2 three days prior
  • Orders of between 50 - 100 m2 two days prior
  • Orders up to 50 m2 one day prior

All orders should be confirmed with our dispatch staff as early as possible.
