Allied Concrete Acquire Mobile Concrete in Gisborne

Allied Concrete Acquires Mobile Concrete in Gisborne

It is with great pleasure to announce a new addition to the Allied Concrete national network, with the purchase of Mobile Concrete in Gisborne.

Mobile Concrete was formed in 1962 by John Alderton. The company has had a major input into the development of Gisborne and the East Coast region and soon after, John’s son, Frank Alderton took over the running of the company from his father.

Earlier this year Frank decided that it was time for Mobile Concrete to take on a new chapter, and since Frank had a long running relationship with Bill Richardson (HW Richardson Group founder), Frank has chosen to sell to Allied Concrete as they are the perfect match with both companies being based on strong family values. Both companies have a similar history and culture and Allied Concrete is committed to continue with the same dedication to the region.

HW Richardson is already established in the Gisborne region through Allied Petroleum and Farmers Transport. The aim is to support the existing Mobile Concrete team with Allied Concrete’s technical expertise and increased resources. Overtime the branding will be updated to reflect the Allied Concrete brand.

The company ownership will change from 1st of June 2018.  Waikato Bay of Plenty Regional Manager Tim Dashfield,  will take the team under his wing, with Tom Claffey continuing on as Branch Manager alongside Adam Keywood as Branch Supervisor.

Allied Concrete welcomes the new members to the family and look forward to what the future holds in the Gisborne area.
