Product Supplied: 40MPa Laser Screed Mix

Our Penrose team (Auckland) recently demonstrated our operational capabilities and technical expertise once again during recent pours of a PT slab for Cirtex industries' new 6,500m2 distribution facility, constructed by Euroclass.

1,100m3 of 40Mpa high strength concrete was supplied over two consecutive 550m3 pours which began at 1am. Due to the slab’s size, four boom pumps operating in two sequential pairs were required during the early stages of each pour, with 16 concrete trucks at a time cycling through, with resources utilized from our neighboring Avondale plant. Truck movements were monitored on-site for improved traffic management and progress reporting via our exclusive concrete management app, My Concrete.

Concrete was placed by Russell Gordon Contracting, running two laser screeds to facilitate concrete placement and ensure precise levelling of the slab.

A testament to the experience of our operations team and strong supplier relationships ensured both pours ran smoothly with the slab completed successfully, allowing the project to remain on schedule and advance to the next stage of construction.
